JG G36C Review
JG G36C Highlights
The Jin Gong JG G36C (Compact) is a great airsoft gun for the player who needs a versatile combination woodsball/CQB weapon.  The heavy duty side-folding stock provides an accurate firing platform when extended or a maneuverable and compact SMG-size assault rifle when folded.  Unlike many side folding-stock airsoft assault rifle variants, the folded stock does not obstruct either the trigger or selector switch and offers equal firing comfort for both left and right handed operators. When extended, the stock offers a grippy rubber butt pad that reduces shoulder slipping.

Externally, the JG G36C is solidly built from high grade ABS plastic, nylon, and metal.  Metal components include front/rear sights, front sling mount, flash suppressor, and trigger.  Internally, the JG G36C sports a Tokyo Marui-clone, all-metal Version 3 gearbox, metal hop-up, and metal inner barrel.  The JG G36C weighs in at a very realistic 8 lbs.

After extensive FPS testing using our professional-grade chronograph, Warrior Airsoft has found that the JG G36C is capable of firing at an average 350.6 FPS with .20g bb's and 325.1 FPS with .23g bb's.  See the full performance statistics report.

Weaver rails run 10" along the top of the carry handle and 3.5" along the bottom of the foregrip.  The rails are suitable for mounting any combination of custom optics, flash lights, lasers, vertical grips, or other tactical accessories.  The sturdy sling mounts are perfect for either traditional or tactical sling setups.  The G36C features an ambidextrous selector switch offering safe, semi-automatic, and full-automatic settings.  Small locking pins extending from each side of the G36C's magazine allow several mags to be interlocked together; this allows the operator to reload the airsoft gun in a matter seconds.

Hop-up System
JG G36C Hop-Up System
The JG G36C features an easily adjustable cylindrical hop-up system based on Tokyo Marui design.  The hop-up adjustment cylinder is accessed by pulling back the cocking lever located on top of the receiver.  Roll the cylinder upward to increase the airsoft gun's hop-up; roll the cylinder down to decrease hop-up.

Note: Long bursts combined with using maximum hop-up may make your JG G36C more prone to jamming.

Iron Sights and R.I.S. (Rail Interface System)
JG G36C Iron Sights and Upper R.I.S.
The JG G36C features non-adjustable iron sights which are adequate for most close-quarters combat situations.  The rear site features two sighting holes of different diameter; the larger hole is intended for closer targets while the smaller allows for long-range engagements.  However, the diameter of the smaller hole provides too large of a target picture for precision shooting.

The upper R.I.S. (rail interface system) is quite long (10") and allows for the use of any weaver-compatible tactical accessories such as scopes, lasers, and flashlights.  In addition, another 3.5" R.I.S. runs under the foregrip and can be used to accommodate a vertical grip.  There is a set of rail mounting hard points on each side of the foregrip to allow the attachment of additional Weaver rails.

Folding Stock and Fire-selector Switch
 JG G36C Side-Folding Stock
JG G36C Stock Release Button and Selector Switch

The folding stock allows the JG G36C to shrink in length from 28.25" to 16".  When open, the side-folding stock is held in place by two sturdy ABS hooks that are easily released by pressing one button on the left side of the stock.  The G36C can quickly become a very compact CQB airsoft gun.

The JG G36C features an ambidextrous fire-selector switch that allows the operator to choose between safe, semi-, and full-automatic settings.  The selector options are identified by the pictographic symbols characteristic of real Heckler & Koch firearms.

Foregrip Release Pin
JG G36C Forearm Release Pin

The battery compartment for the JG G36C is housed within the foregrip.  To remove to foregrip, push the steel release pin until the head of the pin is approximately 1/4" to 1/2" above the surface of the airsoft gun, then simply grab the head and pull the pin the rest of the way out.  The foregrip will slid forward and off the airsoft gun, exposing the battery compartment.
